The First Thing
This would be a great place for a cliché like, everyone has to start somewhere, or it was a dark and stormy night, but we can skip that and head straight to the introductions. Hi! I’m not sure how you found this publication, but thanks for stopping by. How about you leave a comment and tell me a little about yourself?
As for me, I’ll keep it brief so we can get this very first post over with. Earlier today I had one of Those Moments where you wonder, what is the end game here? What am I really doing? I only have so many years (hopefully it’s years) left and so much brain space and mental computing power. How do I want to spend my time and energy? I came up with an answer.
I would like to write. About stuff.
I mean, I already write about stuff - I have 7 books out, but they are hard to write, and take me a long time. So this a place to put things that are more timely.
In future posts, I’ll wax poetic about the injustices of being GenX, which are also, incidentally, some of the very best things about being GenX. I’ll tell you stories about things that happen in real life, and tell you stories I make up. Eventually I’d like to create special content for subscribers, in the form of flash fiction and/or serialized short stories.
So, lots of stuff about things.
