Me again. I remember you reacting when your dad said a book of yours had a bunch of quips in it. Well I think some of stuff you write is humorous. (In a good way)

haha that's right, he said it had too many quips. so i re-edited it to reduce the quippage.

"some" of the stuff i write is humorous, that is also funny... but seriously, thanks alan!!

From your examples, I can tell your dad had a dry sense of humor. What makes one laugh is highly personal of course.

I have noticed that the jokes pro comedians tell are generally not that funny. It’s the setup and delivery that make them work it seems, to me

that makes sense. so often i marvel at people's comedic timing! kinda jealous, actually. i do appreciate physical comedy but maybe some of the subtleties are lost one me, i don't know...

took me some doin to find your homepage on web after luvvin this im an idiot to try and figure how i got this funny stuff and saw immediately the BAT and sit. normal connection so "dawn breaks over marblehead" etc. (i was raised near there heh)

also i see how

1. you are a writer of books and many6 of them wow! (see idiot above)

2. as one of the rare subscribers (only several left in captivity and closely monitored for signs of life)

you have received emails from my own newsletter but have never opened one (perhaps sensing and with good reason there may be toxicity involved)

regardless thanks and as i am won to say the funding wouldn be there from this end its just that lately have begun to realise with substack i may have a substance abuse problem

I have opened your newsletters so don’t believe everything substack tells you (or doesn’t tell you)…

heres another question and if i had budget id pay for alot more than i do....why does it let me comment here but not on your prior post ie the one where your shoulder pain linked to being surprised (fight or flight) i was going to comment but was paywalled

Because the author can set the post to only receive comments from paying readers and I forgot to turn it off.
