you can totally give yourself a nickname, but can you get other people to use it? sometimes. i DO call you ace. and you DO call me ren. which is helpful, since it's not pleasant to be a karen anymore.
Totally agree that exhortations to let it go, or finding Jesus, or much of anything else is going to change the way we react to certain things. Better living through chemistry is my motto (just kidding)
